Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling Komprehensif dalam Pengembangan Karier Siswa Kelas XII di SMA Negeri 1 Parigi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of comprehensive Guidance and Counseling (BK) services in the career development of grade XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Parigi. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The research subjects consisted of BK teachers and grade XII students.

The results of the study show that BK services at SMA Negeri 1 Parigi have been implemented according to the Gysbers & Henderson comprehensive model, including basic services, responsive services, individual planning, and system support. This service helps students recognize their potential, understand career opportunities, and make realistic plans for the future. The obstacles faced include time constraints, administrative burden of BK teachers, low participation of some students, and the influence of the family environment.

These findings are in line with Donald Super's theory of career development which emphasizes the importance of self-exploration and self-concept formation in adolescence. This study concludes that comprehensive BK services play a strategic role in supporting students' career readiness if implemented systematically, consistently, and sustainably.
