This study aims to explore the role of the family in Islamic education and its contribution to the character building of children from an early age. The background of this study stems from the Islamic view that places the family as the primary institution in instilling values of faith, morals, and social behavior in children, before these values are reinforced by formal educational institutions. The research method used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design through interviews, observations, and documentation, as well as Miles and Huberman's data analysis model. The results of the study show that active family involvement in Islamic education at home has a significant impact on children's discipline, responsibility, honesty, and empathy. The habit of worship, parental role models, and constructive communication are the main factors in shaping Islamic character. However, the study also found challenges in the form of parents' limited time, the influence of digital media, and social environmental factors. The discussion emphasizes the importance of synergy between families, schools, and communities in strengthening children's Islamic education. In conclusion, families are the main pillars of Islamic education that can shape children with noble character and strong faith, with strategic support from schools and the social environment
