Implementasi Rate of Return dalam Evaluasi Efektivitas Keuangan Pendidikan di MAS YPP Jamanis

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of education financial management at MAS YPP Jamanis Parigi using the Rate of Return (RoR) concept approach. As a religious-based private educational institution, MAS YPP Jamanis faces challenges in terms of limited funds and demands to improve the quality of education. Therefore, it is important to assess the extent to which the allocation and use of funds provide commensurate benefits, both in the form of improving the quality of learning, facilities, and graduate output. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews with school treasurers, and documentation studies. The results show that although financial management has not used quantitative RoR analysis, education funds have been efficiently allocated to priority sectors such as teacher payroll, facility maintenance, and student activities. The impact can be seen from the improvement of academic quality, improvement of infrastructure, and the increasing public interest in this madrasah. However, there are several challenges that hinder the optimal application of the RoR concept, such as limited human resources and lack of supporting quantitative data. In conclusion, the implementation of the RoR principle has indirectly demonstrated the effectiveness of fund management at MAS YPP Jamanis, and its application more systematically in the future can strengthen results-based decision-making.
