Observations at Permata Ibu Kindergarten show that students have low curiosity, get bored quickly, are passive, and have limited imagination, which indicates a potential lack of creative thinking skills. This study aims to describe the creative thinking abilities of early childhood children at Permata Ibu Kindergarten. The research was conducted in 2023 using a qualitative descriptive approach, referring to the stages of Graham Wallas' creative thinking process. The research location is Permata Ibu Kindergarten in Palangka Raya, with 5 large group students as subjects. Data collection techniques include observation, unstructured interviews, and tests (writing numbers, reading, writing words/letters, and counting). Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested thru source triangulation and technique triangulation. The research results show that during the preparation stage, students are able to recognize the types of questions and recall relevant information. During the incubation stage, some students exhibited brief thinking behavior before attempting to solve the problem. During the illumination stage, most students were able to generate ideas or solution steps, although some still struggled to explain their thinking process. During the verification stage, not all students rechecked their answers or generated alternative solutions. Out of the five students, three were at the creative thinking level category 2 (moderately creative), one was category 1 (less creative), and one was category 0 (not creative). These findings indicate variations in creative thinking abilities among early childhood children and the need for learning strategies that are more stimulating to creativity
2026-01-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Matius Timan Herdi Gintinghttps://ejournal.alfarabi.ac.id/index.php/jos/article/view/1053Model High Scope Solusi Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berkomunikasi Anak Usia Dini2025-11-18T10:19:14+00:00Domingus Lero Bilidomingguslere@gmail.comLidia Vera Bessuvera06bessu@gmail.comTriwanti Nataratriwantinatara@gmail.com
Communicating from an early age is the right first step in developing good language skills in children. This research employs a literature review approach and limited classroom observation in early childhood institutions. The findings indicate that the implementation of this theory can be carried out through teachers’ positive behavioral modeling, role-playing activities, and reinforcement of prosocial behavior. These strategies have been shown to enhance children’s social awareness, empathy, and self-regulation. However, in many early childhood education institutions, including TK Baitussalam Pringsewu, the implementation of parenting programs has not been optimal, as indicated by low parental participation and limited communication between schools and families. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the implementation of parenting programs in supporting parental involvement through the Parent Meeting Class (KPO) service using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Informants included the school principal, parenting coordinator/teachers, and parents. The findings reveal that in terms of context, the parenting program is considered relevant to local needs. However, in the input aspect, there are still limitations in facilitator competencies and variations in parental participation. The implementation process is conducted regularly and is relatively participatory, but it lacks a sustainable evaluation system. The product of the program shows positive impacts on improving parenting knowledge, communication between school and family, and parental engagement in supporting children’s learning at home.
