Abstract

The problem of speech delays in children is considered a quite serious problem that must be treated immediately because it is one of the developmental disorders that is starting to be found frequently in children and is considered the most worrying. This study aims to investigate the factors that influence children experiencing speech delays, the impact of speech delays, and how to overcome speech delays at Miftahul Falah Kindergarten. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. Qualitative methods were used to provide an in-depth picture of the problems of young children who experience delays in speaking at Miftahul Falah Kindergarten, which was obtained through interviews with the Miftahul Falah Kindergarten school and the parents of children who experienced speech delays. The results of the research show that the factors that influence children experiencing speech delays are a lack of encouragement from parents to train or encourage children to speak from an early age, parents' recent education, parents' communication patterns that always speak like babies (slurred), and the intensity of gadget use. which is too long. Then the impact of speech delays is that children are not able to speak clearly when pronouncing the letters R and S, have difficulty expressing their thoughts and feelings, and have difficulty managing their emotions because they are unable to express their thoughts and feelings. Furthermore, Miftahul Falah Kindergarten's way of overcoming speech delays is to always invite children to chat or discuss and provide opportunities to talk during the learning process, utilize technology in the form of TV media provided to stimulate children's language development, and always invite children and their parents to read stories together in the classroom. language play group corner.
