Implementasi Continuous Improvement untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru dan Mutu Pendidikan di SLB Saasih

This research aims to improve the quality of education at Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Saasih through the application of continuous improvement on educator standards. The primary focus is to identify issues in teacher competencies that do not align with special education backgrounds and the low participation in training programs. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data were collected at SLB Saasih to gain an in-depth understanding of educator conditions following the fulfillment of staffing needs. The research findings reveal that the majority of educators do not meet the required special education qualification standards, which impacts the quality of learning. Continuous improvement is implemented through initial competency evaluations, regular training sessions, and a mentoring program. This approach has led to increased teacher competencies, more active participation in training, and a more inclusive learning environment for students with special needs. The study concludes that continuous improvement is effective in enhancing educational quality by promoting ongoing competency development at SLB Saasih.
