Abstract

A good leader is one who understands the conditions of their subordinates, paying attention to the diverse situations of each individual. However, in reality, many leaders focus solely on achieving goals without considering the well-being of their subordinates. This vulnerability can significantly impact organizational outcomes. If left unaddressed, it may lead to adverse effects on the organization, including bankruptcy, due to the low quality of results produced. Therefore, it is crucial for leaders to adopt appropriate leadership styles to enhance quality. This study aims to explore leadership strategies to improve the quality of education for children with intellectual disabilities based on Islamic values at SLBN Widiasih. The research focuses on leadership strategies that enhance the quality of students using Islamic values as a foundation. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, including field observations and interviews. The findings reveal that transformational leadership is the most effective strategy for improving quality, demonstrating significant success. This is evident from the national education system, which serves as a benchmark for assessing school quality. Graduates with intellectual disabilities from the school can establish businesses and work while embodying Islamic values in their lives.
