Abstract

Educational institutions, especially schools, have an important role in improving the quality of education and producing a superior generation. The quality of education is influenced by good management, including integrated quality management to meet consumer needs and improve quality on an ongoing basis. Improving the quality of education does not only depend on academic aspects, but also on school culture which is formed from the values applied by all school members. Educational management in schools plays a role in coordinating various resources to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in education. Implementing a culture of excellence, which includes values such as integrity, discipline, hard work and collaboration, plays an important role in creating a quality learning environment and supporting the development of student character. In addition, the implementation of quality management based on a culture of excellence is aimed at and leads to continuous improvement in the education system, including through the formulation of institutional vision, mission and management policies. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to understand the implementation of superior culture-based quality management at SMK N 1 Cijulang. This research found that good quality management in schools is closely related to the implementation of a culture of excellence, which creates a conducive learning environment and encourages continuous quality improvement. SMK N 1 Cijulang, through the Center of Excellence Vocational School program, has implemented a culture of excellence in various aspects, including collaboration with industry and waste-free programs. Implementing this culture of excellence not only improves the quality of learning, but also prepares students to face challenges in the world of work. Annual evaluation through educational assessments and reports is an important tool for planning continuous improvement in the quality of education. These findings show that a culture of excellence and good quality management support each other in producing quality and characterful education. Quality management based on a culture of excellence is very important to improve the quality of education in schools. Consistent implementation of a culture of excellence, supported by effective management, can produce graduates who not only excel in academics but also have good character and are ready to contribute to the world of work.
