Pemanfaatan Sistem Absensi Berbasis Biometrik (Fingerpint) untuk Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Siswa di MA YPP Babakan Jamanis

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of fingerprint technology in improving student discipline at MA YPP Babakan Jamanis. The implementation of a fingerprint-based attendance system is used to monitor student attendance more accurately and efficiently, replacing a manual system that is prone to fraud and errors. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the implementation of fingerprint technology in the attendance system at MA YPP Babakan Jamanis. The case study approach was chosen to explore in depth the impact of the use of fingerprint technology on student discipline at the institution. Data were collected through three techniques, namely observation, by directly observing the implementation of the fingerprint-based attendance system and the interaction between students and the system; interviews, by interviewing staff to obtain system effectiveness; and documentation studies, by analyzing attendance data and student discipline records before and after the implementation of the system. With this approach, the study aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the impact of fingerprint technology in improving student discipline at MA YPP Babakan Jamanis. The results of the study indicate that fingerprint technology has succeeded in improving student discipline and facilitating the management of attendance data at school
