Konsep Dasar Pembiayaan Pendidikan dalam Era Otonomi: Studi Kasus Tantangan dan Strategi Peningkatan Pembiayaan di SMKN 1 Cijulang

This study aims to analyze and understand the basic concept of education financing in the context of the autonomous era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies of school principals, school treasurers and BOS operators. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the Autonomy Era has brought significant changes in the governance system and resource management, including in the education sector. Education financing, which was previously managed by the central government, now has a new nuance with the decentralization of authority to local governments. However, at the vocational high school level in the context of financing, the source of financing is still in the provincial government. Although there are various sources of funding, the management of education financing at SMKN 1 Cijulang is faced with limited existing budgets, which require the school to carry out planning and allocation of funds very carefully and efficiently. The management of these funds is carried out with the principles of transparency and accountability to ensure that the existing funds are used according to the priorities that have been set, such as salaries of educators and maintenance of educational facilities. However, dependence on central and regional government funds is still a major challenge in creating a more independent and sustainable education financing system. Therefore, this study will explore various basic concepts related to education financing in the era of autonomy, as well as the challenges and opportunities that exist
