Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to help students overcome psychological barriers through the Growth Mindset For A Better Future seminar at SMA Negeri 1 Pangandaran. The problems identified among students included low self-confidence, fear of failure, giving up easily, lack of confidence in their own abilities, and confusion in determining future goals. This activity used the Service Learning method, which was carried out through the stages of brainstorming, focus, implementation, evaluation, and reflection. The participants consisted of 70 eleventh-grade students. The seminar was conducted through material presentations, interactive discussions, self-reflection sessions, and motivational activities regarding the importance of a growth mindset in facing life challenges. The results showed that the seminar had a positive impact on students’ understanding and mindset. This was reflected in the increased courage of students to express their opinions, improved self-confidence, and the emergence of a more optimistic attitude in dealing with failure and planning for the future. The evaluation results through pre-test and post-test also showed an increase in students’ understanding from 74% to 88.5%. Therefore, the Growth Mindset For A Better Future seminar was able to help students develop a positive mindset, increase their motivation for self-development, and strengthen their mental readiness in facing academic and social challenges
