Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises, better known as MSMEs, are one of the largest economic development sectors. MSMEs are a solution for society in creating new jobs. MSMEs also play an important role in increasing business units and also supporting household income. Tofu is a superior product typical of East Java Province even though it is a food product originating from China. Almost all people consume tofu, either as a side dish or as a snack. The barokah tofu factory is an MSME located in Wonosari Grujugan Bondowoso Village which has not yet registered with the NIB and halal certificate. There are still many people who are MSMEs and employees of the barokah tofu factory who will lack understanding regarding halal product certification so that socialization and assistance is needed for MSMEs in Wonosari and other villages. factory employees know blessings. The method used in this service is by providing outreach in the form of socialization and mentoring. The socialization aims to provide knowledge, information and other new things to the public regarding the Definition and Legal Basis for Halal Product Guarantee, which also includes the management of halal certification and the Criteria for the Halal Product Guarantee System. Next, provide assistance with the procedures for registering NIB and halal certification, the benefits and advantages of products that have halal certification. The aim of this research is to make MSME players, especially Tahu Barokah employees, aware of how important and useful halal certification is for food and beverage products circulating in Indonesia because the majority of the population is Muslim.
