Pelatihan Guru dan Orang Tua dalam Home-Based Learning Berbasis Parenting Partnership untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian Anak di RA Hidayatul Islamiyah

This community service program aimed to enhance the independence of children aged 4–5 years through a home-based learning model grounded in a parenting partnership approach, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Conducted at RA Hidayatul Islamiyah, the program actively involved both teachers and parents as co subjects and collaborative partners in the training sessions. The results revealed that the collaboration between home and school successfully created a dialogical space that aligned parenting perspectives and encouraged practices that fostered children’s independence at home. Observations and in-depth interviews indicated a significant increase in children's ability to carry out daily activities independently, such as dressing themselves and tidying up toys an improvement closely linked to parents’ growing awareness of the importance of providing space for children’s exploration. The training, which addressed participants’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, proved effective in transforming knowledge into meaningful behavior. These findings reinforce Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory, which posits that the synergy between a child’s primary microsystems family and school is crucial for optimal development. This program demonstrates that strengthening the role of parents in early childhood education can be implemented systematically, sustainably, and contextually through collaborative, community-based training initiatives.
