Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of animated video media in early childhood sex education as a strategy for preventing sexual violence at TK Metasari, Parigi. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological strategy through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, the principal, and parents, and documentation. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that animated video media effectively increases children's understanding of private body parts, distinguishes between good and bad touch, and fosters the courage to refuse and report using the No-Go-Tell strategy. This media also strengthens children's communication with teachers and parents, and fosters emotional awareness and a sense of vigilance. However, this study is limited by a small sample size and a specific school context, requiring a more extensive study. These findings confirm that animation-based sex education can be used as a preventive, communicative, and interactive strategy in formal education.
