Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of classical guidance on the improvement of learning achievement among Grade X students at SMK Negeri Cikalong. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with data quality testing or instrument testing (validity and reliability), classical assumption tests, normality test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, simple linear regression test, hypothesis testing (t-test), coefficient of determination (R²), and analysis explaining the relationship between classical guidance and the improvement of students' academic achievement at SMK Negeri Cikalong. Based on the results of the simple linear regression calculation, the regression equation obtained is Y = 33.558 + 1.120X, which means that classical guidance has a significant and positive influence on improving students' learning achievement. The results of the t-test show that classical guidance has a value of t = 3.156 with a significance level (Sig.) of 0.000. Since the significance value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), it can be concluded that variable X (classical guidance) significantly influences variable Y (learning achievement) The result of the correlation coefficient analysis shows a value of 0.818 or 81.8%, indicating a strong positive relationship between the independent variable (classical guidance) and the dependent variable (learning achievement). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.3721 or 37.21%, meaning that classical guidance (X) contributes 37.21% to the learning achievement (Y) of Grade X students at SMK Negeri Cikalong. This indicates that classical guidance has a positive and significant influence on students’ academic improvement
