Tantangan Orang Tua dalam Mengawasi Penggunaan Teknologi Anak di Rumah

The increasingly rapid development of technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life. This condition is marked by the increasing use of technology by young children, which indirectly requires parents to transform into"Digital Gatekeepeer"However, awareness of the potential negative impacts is not always accompanied by adequate ability to provide effective guidance. This study aims to examine in depth the challenges experienced by parents in assisting early childhood technology use at home. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, conducted in the Playgroup (Kober Attarbiyah) located in Cigugur District, Pangandaran Regency. The results of the study indicate four main challenges, namely: minimal supervision due to busy work; low parental digital literacy and knowledge; difficulty maintaining consistent application of technology use rules and the lack of a father's role in supervision. These findings underscore the urgency of parental digital literacy and consistency in implementing rules as crucial factors in effective guidance. Therefore, collaboration between both parents and the implementation of appropriate supervision strategies are essential to minimize the negative impacts of technology and shape healthy digital behavior in children.
