Peran Kepala Sekolah Sebagai Supervisi dalam Pengembangan Profesionalisme Guru di SMKN 2 Pangandaran

This study aims to describe the principal's role as supervision in developing teachers' professionalism at SMKN 2 Pangandaran. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, in which data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and other related parties. The research findings found that the principal at SMKN 2 Pangandaran functions not only as a leader, but also as an active supervisor in developing teachers' teaching abilities and skills. Supervision activities include individual guidance, training, and teacher performance evaluation. Principals have an important responsibility in improving the quality of education through planned and effective supervision. This role has been shown to contribute positively to the development of teachers' professionalism, which in turn improves the quality of the learning process. The results of this study confirm that principals play an important role in creating conditions that support the development of teacher competencies for better educational goals.
