Post-Publication Discussion and Critique Policy
Edu Happiness: Jurnal Ilmiah Perkembangan Anak Usia Dini is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record within the field of Early Childhood Development Science. In accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Edu Happiness provides a mechanism for readers and the scholarly community to raise critiques, comments, requests for clarification, or new information concerning published empirical and conceptual articles.
Post-Publication Critiques A post-publication critique is a formal scholarly communication concerning a published article and may be submitted as a Letter to the Editor, Commentary, Comment, Correspondence, or another form determined by the editorial board of Edu Happiness. Critiques must be relevant to the scope of early childhood development, constructive, evidence-based, and professionally presented.
Each critique will undergo an editorial assessment. The journal editors may request additional evidence or information and, where necessary, seek assessment from impartial reviewers or experts in the specific research field (e.g., cognitive, language, or social-emotional development). Relevant conflicts of interest must be disclosed by all parties.
Author Response When a critique is considered suitable for publication, Edu Happiness will provide the original author(s) with an opportunity to submit a response or reply. Critiques and responses may undergo a peer review process and revision. If the original author(s) do not respond within the specified period, the journal may still publish the critique if it meets our scholarly and editorial standards. Failure to respond does not constitute an admission that the critique is correct.
Actions Concerning Published Articles If a critique identifies a significant error or concern regarding the original article, Edu Happiness will determine the appropriate action based on the reviewer's or editor's evaluation. Correctable errors may be addressed through a Correction. Serious unresolved concerns may result in an Expression of Concern, while an article that is demonstrated to be unreliable or unethical may be Retracted, in accordance with relevant COPE guidance.
If a critique raises concerns about research or publication misconduct, the matter will be handled strictly in accordance with our Research and Publication Misconduct Policy.
Edu Happiness may close a discussion when the issue has been resolved, no new information is provided, or further correspondence no longer makes a meaningful scholarly contribution. However, new material evidence may be considered at any time.
