Abstract

Learning motivation is a drive that arises both from within and from outside the student, which is able to generate enthusiasm and passion for learning and provide direction to learning activities so that the desired goals can be achieved. One of the media that can increase learning motivation is Augmented Reality (AR) media. Augmented Reality (AR) can be defined as a technology that is able to combine two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) virtual objects into a real environment and then display or project them in real time. The purpose of this study was to determine how teachers' efforts are in increasing children's learning motivation through Augmented Reality (AR) media at RA An-Nur Panganadaran. This study is a qualitative descriptive study involving one teacher. Data were collected through interviews, observations and document analysis. Data were analyzed qualitatively using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that teachers' efforts in increasing children's learning motivation are as follows: (i) Choosing the theme and activities to be carried out, (ii) Choosing and preparing appropriate media items, (iii) Arranging the location or position of Augmented Reality (AR) so that it is clearly visible to children, (iv) Exemplifying the activities to be carried out and giving children the opportunity to try, and (v) Evaluation. This shows that the five ways to increase children's learning motivation through Augmented Reality (AR) media can be applied to early childhood
